We're Here to Help.

The Home Relief Fund 2020 works to help renters and homeowners get the assistance they need to avoid water shutoff, eviction, and/or foreclosure. The Home Relief Fund 2020 is administered by IMPACT Community Action (IMPACT) and funded by the State of Ohio through the CARES Act.

You may qualify if you can answer yes to the following questions.


How Much Assistance is Available?

Every household's situation is different, so the amount of assistance you may receive will be specific to your needs and sustainability.

Funding is awarded on a first come - first completed basis. Please have all your information and documents ready to ensure faster processing of your application.

If you are a renter, make sure the amount you request will be accepted by your landlord. If they challenge the amount, it can delay your application's processing.


How Can The Home Relief Fund 2020 Help Me?

Depending on your circumstances, The Home Relief Fund 2020 may:

  • Bring your delinquent rent, water bill, first mortgage, or second mortgage current.
  • Make your November or December 2020 payment
  • Pay property taxes or association fees if they are escrowed

How Do I Apply?

After you answer some eligibility questions, you must complete an application for assistance and gather some documentation.


What Happens Next?

If you qualify for assistance, IMPACT will request approval from your property manager or pay your lender/servicer using your payment coupon. If your property manager approves, IMPACT will send payments directly to them to bring your rent current.


What Else Do I Need to Know?

IMPACT works with nonprofit groups and does not charge a fee for its services. Beware of calls and other solicitations from companies offering to assist you in return for payment. If you are not sure whether an agency is legitimate, call IMAPCT HOPE Fund at 833-242-4673.

What does it mean to be "ready to upload"?


  • Your documentation meets the date and content requirements;
  • You have your documentation available as a legible:
    • High resolution scan as a Jpeg, PNG, or PDF;
    • High resolution photo as a Jpeg or PNG;
    • Downloaded PDF from the original document provider
  • You have either an email address or a cell phone number capable of receiving texts (data and messaging rates from your provider apply);

Documentation Checklist


Please make sure you have copies of all your required documents  ready for uploading or for faxing to 833-242-4673:



Two approved proofs of citizenship and identification for the Head of Household.

Two approved proofs of residency for the Head of Household.

Last 12 months' mortgage statements (Homeowners), or a copy of your signed lease (Renters).

Copy of late notice, foreclosure notice, shut-off notice, eviction, or 3 day notice.

30 days of household income (pay stubs or receipts) for each household member 18 and older.

A copy of your water bill, if applying for utility assistance.
